Batgirl first appeared in Batman #139 in 1961, over 20 years after the first appearance of Batman in Detective comics. The original Batgirl was Betty Kane, but she only lasted a few years and was replaced in 1964 by Barbara Gordon in Detective Comics #359. Barbara Gordon is the daughter of Commission Gordon, a long time ally in Batman’s fight against crime.

Interestingly, the character that eventually lead to Batgirl, first appeared in the mid 1950’s as a reaction to Fredric Wertham’s Seduction of the Innocent book that created a large “comic book panic” and accused Batman of being homosexual.

Batgirl (Kathy Kane) was brought in to be Batman’s love interest. A few years later, the original Batgirl (Betty Kane) was brought in as Batgirl’s niece and a love interest for robin.

The Barbara Gordon Batgirl became very popular, as did all things Batman, due to the Batman television series of the mid sixties. Batgirl was brought into the television series to help attract a female audience.

This popularity waned after the show was canceled, but the new Barbara Gordon batgirl continued to make sporadic appearances in the Batman line of comics from 1966 to 1988. The Batgirl character was changed from a teenager to an adult in the comic after the television show ended, but otherwise remained the same.

Batgirl “retired” in 1988 after being shot and paralyzed by Batman’s nemesis, the Joker. She reappeared soon after as the Oracle a computer wizard who helped various costumed crime fighters with her information gathering and computer hacking abilities.

A series of short term Batgirls appeared in the following years, but none long enough to hold the title.

What the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, or any of Batman's foes have not been able to do, Batman's own "dad" was.

In a controversial new storyline by Grant Morrison, Batman is killed by Simon Hurt who claims is Batman's dad. While everyone, who does not live under a rock, knows.

Batman's dad was supposedly killed when Bruce Wayne was but a child. But in this new story line, Simon Hurt claims that he simply faked his own death.

This of course opens up the storyline to a whole new level. The success of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is definitely worth noting here because after the passing of Heath Ledger there has been plenty of discussion on whether any new foe would ever match the performance of Ledger.

With this new twist in the comic there is definitely a opening for the Batman movie franchise to do the same.

But don't worry Batman aficionados, while Bruce Wayne has passed away, Batman is promised to continue fighting.

While we have all been kept in the dark, no pun intended, there are rumors floating around that the next Batman will be either Dick Grayson, the original Robin, or current boy Wonder Tim Drake.

Bruce Waynes acted as batman in which his tricks to fly in the air never could move away from the little hearts of his tiny supporters.

He acted mainly in many of children movies. In Catwoman his acting is simply superb.Again in batgirl he gave his full length skill inviting praise from his fans.

Who can forget his comedy in the joker where all his fans though under sixteens made the movie a glory one.

In the dark night his innocent actions proverd as a turning point in his carrier. The costumes used for his movies are brilliant in the make.

When ever he attended parties he is expected to appear in the same costume used in his batman or joker movie.

The story of The Dark Knight was published by Penguin Publishers.

He acted as a Riddler with two faces having a loving character and a rough rascal in another character. When he acts in comic characters he does not act instead he turns himself as the character itself.

This hard work made him as a super hero in the children movies.

When acts as a villain he becomes a terrible man frightens the audiances with his rough actions, which sometimes make his fans feel why he is acting in such a charecters when he is admired for his superhero charecters.

But his comical, villainous character gives a platform for him to show the audiance that he can act in any style not fixing himself with a single hero subject.

His talents are given shinning by the extraordinary direction which as expected gave him the super hero image.

The batman movie when released in many theaters around the world, it pulled the crowd to fill all the shows with full capacity of the theater.

No theater in the world showed the movie with out houseful board hanging in the front to make the fans go disappointed.

DC comics and the Kuwati based comic group Teshkeel have agreed to team up for a unique and yet very common set of comic books. The Batman news is very interesting and could set off a wave of new Batman collectibles. Batman, and the rest of the DC universe, will fight side by side with the 99, a group of heroes based (subtly) on Muslim values.

Or he will be fighting against the group. The exact story line is unclear, but what is clear is that the storyline will be popular. Batman, and the rest of the DC gang, is an incredibly franchise domestically, and the 99 is in the same boat internationally. In the Middle-Eastern world, the 99 comics sell over a million copies a year and are the inspiration for a television series.

Comics often reflect the state of the world, and this collaboration should be no exception. It will be interesting to see such prevalent symbols of American super strength teaming up with, or fighting against, symbols that represent Muslim strength. This international situation is often very complicated, and the comic book collaboration will be similarly provocative. The Dark Knight plus 99 Muslim values equals excitement.

Graphic novel writer Adam Beechen has reinvigorated the Batgirl franchise with a new series.

In Batgirl: Redemption, Batgirl returns to the streets of the infamous Gotham City but does more than fight crime. She battles against herself as well.

Troubled by her own internal struggles, Batgirl battles super villains and her own troubled past. Although Batgirl struggles to face and conquer evil, each encounter dredges up memories of her troubled childhood. Batgirl was raised by David Cain, an evil and deadly man. Now, Batgirl is trying to define herself and forget her past.

In her adventures, however, she encounters the very ones she is trying to forget. However, her encounters with old friends remind her that even a troubled past can have value and that you cannot run from the past. Batgirl’s adventures are dynamically illustrated by Jim Calafiore.

Batgirl: Redemption is a solid graphic novel that investigates the physiological depth of a strong female character. In Batgirl: Redemption, Batgirl is more than the Dark Knight’s sexy sidekick. She is a fully-developed character with a compelling back story. No longer has a mere companion, Batgirl come into her own. For any fan of the Batman franchise, this graphic novel is a must read.

Step aside Batman, the next generation of the world's finest superhero has finally arrived. WOW Deal, a new mobile coupon service, has finally arrived on the streets of the United States to fight off hunger pangs like the Caped Crusader fought the Joker.

On August 1st, 2009 these "buy one, get one free coupons" will become available through Facebook and Twitter right onto your phone and can be used at many local restaurants around the country. This is good for restaurants as well-- by signing on to the WOW Deal's contract, they'll be advertising to fill those empty seats that have plagued them for months.

Unlike the Riddler's mind-twisting riddles and quirky enigmas, WOW Deal is easy to use and about as uncomplicated as Catwoman's spandex suit. After an effortless registration by visiting WOW Deal's website, users will be able to download coupons onto their mobile phone from across the United States. Getting a discount at restaurants has never been so simple-- downloading coupons takes mere minutes and can be done moments before one enters a restaurant.

Batman once stated that "The true crimefighter always carries everything he needs in his utility belt." Now, with the help of WOW Deal, the average person will be equipped with constant access to thousands of restaurant coupons at the tip of their fingers. Hunger doesn't stand a chance.

The Joker finally wins. If only it were true. If only, just once The Joker takes the prize, Batman falls, costume rent asunder, unmasked for the world to see, the great Bruce Wayne exposed as the greatest vigilante the comics world has ever known. He’s Batman’s reason for existing after all, literally speaking if you go by movie lore.

But even in the comics, where would batman be without The Joker to chase after. His nefarious deeds are legendary, what good are ordinary criminal motives like those possessed by Catwoman or Penguin, one big score and they’re off vacationing on some island. But The Joker, he’s that bit of insanity Batman barely hides within himself. The other side of a thin coin, and the perfect example of what Batman resists being every time he puts on that costume.

So why does The Joker always lose?

As a superhero, there’s nothing all that super about Batman. At the core, he’s just a detective with advanced equipment. So why does he constantly foil the greatest villain Gotham’s ever known? Simply put, because the world can’t have a Joker win. Not the dark pages of the comic book world they do battle in, and certainly not the real world that reads those pages for escape. The idea of an obviously insane villain winning out over the guardian of good goes against our collective psyche.

So no matter how popular The Joker becomes among the comic villains readers enjoy, no matter how many of those readers embrace him on Halloween in costume, there will always be those with Batman Costumes roaming the streets as well, celebrating the triumph of good over evil. And unfortunately for those of us who would love to see the guy with the grin win just once, nothing but disappointment.

Did you ever play Grand Theft Auto and wished you could be a hero instead of a gangster? The Playstation 3 exclusive InFamous is finally giving you that chance. As the electrically charged superhero you get to make the choice on whether he becomes the next Batman or the next Joker.

Developed by Sucker Punch Studios (of Sly Cooper fame) InFamous puts you in the shoes of former bike messenger Cole, who after a work "accident" that destroys most of the city wakes up from a coma with incredible electrical abilities, what happens is next up to you.

That is the beauty of open-world (sandbox) games. There is a rich story to be had, but how you experience it is completely up to you. You can follow the straight and narrow path, always doing the right thing and bringing criminals to justice, or become something closer to a dark knight, doing what needs to be done in order for good to prevail even if it means a few civilians get friend in the process.

As a superhero who can shoot lightning from his hands and glide along electrically charged train tracks the potential to harm innocent victims is high, but hey... if doing the right thing was easy, we'd all be Bruce Wayne.

What is the difference between the old version of the batman (batman vs. joker) and the newest version of batman(dark night),the first thing you will realized when you watch the dark night version is the deference between the characters .

In the dark night version batman is more reality than the old version and more humanity than the old version , the second thing you may be realized that the picture of regular superhero is different this time too because you will watch this hero while he really cracked by his weak point witch is the one he loved when he fail to defend her from the joker this time in the dark night version.

And also you maybe notes that the move want to tell you some thing and I think that what the move want to tell you is true meaning of being a hero I think this is the massage the movie want to send to us.

I think that by this movie they determine the future of the batman series I think we will never see this hero who kill every one with some kind of toys and he will be replaced in the next movie by the hero how is more realty hero, also you will see more realty bad guys more than the crazy ones in the old version.

But in the end I want to tell every body that I don’t hate the old version of batman. I'm a big fan of this hero and the child memories but now we are in the edge of the new batman.

“The Dark Knight” has become the fourth film to take in more than $1 billion in worldwide box office.

Warner Bros. made the announcement Friday afternoon, saying that the combined domestic and international gross had totaled $1,001,082,160 to date — about $533 million domestically and $567 million overseas.

“Knight” had been about $4 million short of the 10-figure mark when Warner Bros. re-released it into Imax screens on Jan. 23, the day after its eight Oscar nominations were announced. Grosses from Ecuador also helped nudge the Batpic over the mark, a spokeswoman said.

Only “Titanic,” with $1.8 billion, “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” have topped the billion-dollar worldwide mark previously.

“Knight” also is the second-highest domestic grosser of all time, trailing only “Titanic.”

Warner also noted that it’s the largest 2-D digitally re-mastered Imax release in the domestic market with $49.6 million and worldwide with $64.9 million.
