Upcoming Batman Movie News – The Rumor Mill Continues

While Batman fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation of The Dark Knight sequel (Batman 3), there is little confirmed upcoming Batman movie news. Insiders believe the project is delayed due to the schedule of director Chris Nolan who has been busy working on other commitments and projects. However, stars like Gary Oldman and Michael Caine are feeding into the rumor mills with comments stating they estimate shooting on Batman 3 is expected to begin in 2010 with the movie being released in 2012.

In addition, Michael Caine recently said he expects the next Batman installment to focus on The Riddler. If this is true, it will be interesting to see who is chosen to play this intricate role. While Jim Carrey did a fabulous job in Batman Forever, Nolan’s style of direction is much more realistic and Carrey’s portrayal of the villain may not fit into his style and creative direction. Christian Bale is contracted to continue his role as Batman while other rumors are swirling about the possibility of Johnny Depp playing the role of The Riddler and Megan Fox playing the role of Catwoman (although most recently this one has been denied).

Upcoming Batman Movie News To Look Out For

All in all, Batman fans will have to wait until at least January to hear whether Chris Nolan is signing on with Warner Brothers for the Batman 3 movie and when production will begin. However, at the earliest the Batman 3 movie won’t be released until at least 2012 so fans are forced to sit patiently and wait it out.

Employee sued by his ‘Batman’ ex-coworker

Kenneth Hughes, a former employee of Vermont Composites and a resident of Shaftsbury, is suing the company and his former co-worker, Ed Novak. He claims that he was subject to multiple racial slurs (Hughes is black). He does not elaborate on the slurs used. He said that Novak also commented negatively against his daughters who are of Asian descent. Novak called them derogatory terms such as “whores” and “sluts”.

His main complaint, however, is Novak’s use of the terms “Batman” and “Hollywood”. He says that he felt slighted by his colleague since he was being called nickname whereas noone else was. He had never filed a complaint against Novak to his superiors in the company. He is also making a complaint against Vermont Composites for wrongful termination.

Novak has completely denied saying anything negative about his daughters. He has retaliated about the superhero nickname by saying that he used it due to their shared interest in comic books.

During the deposition, Hughes said that he had previously requested Novak to refer to him as the Flash (another comic book superhero). However, this time it was n reference to his music career where he performed regularly at the Kevin's Sports Pub and Restaurant using the title Ken Flash.

Attorney Andrew Maass has spoken of all charges against Vermont Composites as lacking merit. He is in fact waiting for the complaint to be withdrawn, otherwise he will file for the charges to be dismissed.

Batman’s rich alter-ego Bruce Wayne has added half a billion dollars to his riches.

“The Dark Knight” on Sunday became the second movie in Hollywood history to top $500 million at the domestic box office, raising its total to $502.4 million, according to estimates from distributor Warner Bros.

OK, I was gonna write a film review for the recent release of BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT, the new animated movie by Warner Bros & DC Universe.

But I decided that since somebody already wrote one better than I could I would just post a link to it, ha ha!

That person is Stephanie, over at GEN ( The Girl's Entertainment Network ).

Yes, women dig the Batman! She wrote a great review and it is very detailed with lots of accurate information.

I like to do reviews every now & then ( I seriously loved this movie ) but I have been wayyy too busy lately.

Wow. I was blown away by this movie. The best movie of the summer by far. I agree that this may be one of the best action movie's of all time. Heath Ledger was great, the action was great, good story, just way more than you expect when you go to see a summer blockbuster. I just saw it tonight, but I'm going to see it again this week at an IMAX theatre. Go see this movie!!!
